“To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear.” Stephen Levine
Children
Children are naturally resilient, but even the strongest and most adaptable may struggle from time to time. As children grow and change, so do their brains. As parents, you may struggle to understand your child’s needs and behaviors. I am able to help with what gets lost in translation, as children may not yet have the language to explain their emotional experience, and may show it behaviorally instead--either by withdrawing or acting out. I can help your child to pro-socially express needs, experiences, and feelings, manage overwhelm, and develop strong coping skills. I can help you to better understand the needs of your child and to communicate with them in a meaningful and connected way, strengthening the parent-child bond.
I have 13 years experience working with children behaviorally and clinically and specialize in working with children who have special needs or who have experienced trauma.
Teens
The teenage years are a time of transition, individuation, exploration, and identity formation. These days, teens are bombarded with expectations from school, friends, and social media around who they’re supposed to be and how they should fit in. The pressure to define oneself and make decisions about who they are and what the present and the future hold, whether that includes college or another path, can be mindboggling and overwhelming, to say the least. Teens and young adults need to feel they can safely explore all of the the trials and tribulations that come with being a young person in today’s culture with a trusted adult. This is a critical and confusing time, exploring the intersection of childhood and adulthood, and I am here to help.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
Maya Angelou
Adults

If you’ve answered “Yep, that’s me!” to any of the above, I am here to help. I will help you stand strong in your strengths and sit with you in the mess. I can help guide you through the challenges so that you are able to live your fullest, most satisfying and meaningful life, because care and wellness are basic human needs and rights. I will help equip you with the tools, and we will walk down the path to healing side by side.
